如果講到 Alexa ，最廣為人知的應該就是他的「世界排名查詢服務」，你只要輸入網站的網址，就可以查詢該網站排名、流量、訪問量、頁面瀏覽量等等。這個排名也常被作為評價某一網站的一個指標，至於是否準確，當然是見仁見智。

本來以為 Alexa 提供的都是這一類的排名查詢，可是不小心看到，他們居然有 Camera Image Search 的服務耶！

前一陣子在看新聞時，隱約記得「 Google 圖書搜尋 」要跟台灣的出版業者合作，預計要推一個繁體中文的版本，接下來好像就沒有看到任何的訊息。

前幾天在用 Google 的搜尋服務時，突然看到 Google 的圖書搜尋服務繁體中文版本好像正式上線使用了，但是在畫面中還是顯示 Beta 。

在前一陣子提到 Yahoo! Site Explorer  的部分服務，主要是著重於查詢的部分，接下來的是比較著重於管理的部分。

這個部分的重點在於把自己的網站加到 My Sites ，讓自己可以管理 Yahoo! Search! 中自己的網站被索引的程度，以及讓 Yahoo! Search! 的機器人 ( bot ) 可以更快速的把你的網站索引，以便有興趣的朋友來搜尋。

如何把網站加到 My Sites ？

要把網站加到 My Sites 的方式不勝枚舉，比如說：

• 在 「Explorer URL」後，察看每一個網頁的細節時，右邊會出現一個「Show Details」，按下在網頁名稱底下會出現一個「Authenticate the Site」
• 在填寫「Explorer URL」時，底下也會告訴你「If you want to track a Site, add it to My Sites」，用滑鼠點選之後，把網站的 URL 填入即可
• 直接在 My Sites 的表單裡面，把網站的 URL 填入亦可

自從 Google  推出了 Google Sitemaps  後，Yahoo!  也推出了 Yahoo! Site Explorer  的服務，對於怎麼促進網站在網路上的見光率有點興趣的我，當然要來試試看！

Yahoo! Site Explorer 的功能，原文是這樣說的：

The Yahoo! search database contains detailed information about web pages and the structure of the Web. The database stores information about links between web pages and uses that information (as well as additional algorithms) to gauge the popularity of a given page.

Yahoo! Site Explorer is a tool that lets you access the information we have about a site's online presence. You can see which sites and subpages are indexed by Yahoo! Search, track sites that link into webpage, and view the most popular pages from any site.
