在前一陣子提到 Yahoo! Site Explorer  的部分服務，主要是著重於查詢的部分，接下來的是比較著重於管理的部分。

這個部分的重點在於把自己的網站加到 My Sites ，讓自己可以管理 Yahoo! Search! 中自己的網站被索引的程度，以及讓 Yahoo! Search! 的機器人 ( bot ) 可以更快速的把你的網站索引，以便有興趣的朋友來搜尋。

如何把網站加到 My Sites ？

要把網站加到 My Sites 的方式不勝枚舉，比如說：

• 在 「Explorer URL」後，察看每一個網頁的細節時，右邊會出現一個「Show Details」，按下在網頁名稱底下會出現一個「Authenticate the Site」
• 在填寫「Explorer URL」時，底下也會告訴你「If you want to track a Site, add it to My Sites」，用滑鼠點選之後，把網站的 URL 填入即可
• 直接在 My Sites 的表單裡面，把網站的 URL 填入亦可

WiFly 的基地台放在巷子口的電線桿上，已經不是一天兩天的事情了，可能是周遭都有很方便的網路可以用，自己也沒有一個輕便的可以到處上網的裝備，加上要收費，所以一直沒有那個欲望去嘗試使用他。

前幾天在大神的 blog  看到了可以用學校無線上網的帳號密碼免費使用 WiFly [ 原始來源為 "汪汪's 拂曉的微風" ]。於是跑到 WiFly 的官方網站去看了一下，果然有這個服務耶，「行動台灣漫遊無限，校園漫遊上網 」。

自從 Google  推出了 Google Sitemaps  後，Yahoo!  也推出了 Yahoo! Site Explorer  的服務，對於怎麼促進網站在網路上的見光率有點興趣的我，當然要來試試看！

Yahoo! Site Explorer 的功能，原文是這樣說的：

The Yahoo! search database contains detailed information about web pages and the structure of the Web. The database stores information about links between web pages and uses that information (as well as additional algorithms) to gauge the popularity of a given page.

Yahoo! Site Explorer is a tool that lets you access the information we have about a site's online presence. You can see which sites and subpages are indexed by Yahoo! Search, track sites that link into webpage, and view the most popular pages from any site.
